Press Release Body: Panther, the UK\'s leader in providing local reliable href=\"http://www.platform-rentals.co.uk\">powered access rental, has appointed
Tim Williams as Service Manager to handle all aspects of the company\'s busy Service
Department. Tim is based out of the Panther headquarters in Luton and runs the
dedicated department ensuring that all machines provided to customers are
continually maintained to the highest of standards.
Having joined the Panther team in 2005, Tim was initially put to the task of setting
up the new Lincoln depot, which quickly established itself as a well run, profitable
addition to the Panther branch network. Two years on, due to his managerial
successes, engineering background and experience, Tim was appointed Panther Service
Manager.
The role involves implementing and monitoring service schedules, maintenance
standards and parts control, purchase order procedures, depot stocks and breakdown
logs; but as Tim put it: \"that was the easy part!\"
Tim continued: \"I quickly learnt that Panther as a company is completely customer
focused, with Managers and Sales teams performing faster than the engineering staff
could turn around machines. Panther has a modern, young fleet of machines that is
utilised to the maximum, and maintenance of the equipment has to take priority
without affecting the momentum of hires and customer service.\"
Comprehensive service schedules guarantee that all machines receive a full service
at least every six months, and with a new preventative maintenance programme being
rolled out across the Panther network, the chances of any future technical problems
with equipment taking place have been significantly reduced. In addition, Panther\'s
two dedicated refurbishment centres, one at Luton, and a brand new one at Haydock,
ensure that each machine is also visibly maintained; this coming as a direct
response to its customer\'s demands of requiring clean, smart looking machines on
their sites.
Tim and the service team will play a key role in the development of Panther across
the country, particularly with the addition of depots from AMP and Higher Platforms
scheduled to join Panther later in the year.
